Watching the sun rise...

9 months!

Yikes! I'm a bit behind in my blog updates!!!!
Last week Gavin turned 9 months old! I can't believe how much he has grown and changed just in the last month. At his 9 month check up last week he weighed in at 21.1 pounds and 30 inches! He is in the 70th percentile in weight and 90th percentile in length. Gavin has all four front teeth and must be working on more because all he does he gnaw on his hands...or anything else he can get a hold of. He is WIDE OPEN...crawling all over the place and getting extremely curious! It's amazing how good he is at getting around. One minute he's in the living room...and before you turn your head he's crawled down the hall into the bathroom. He is pulling up on anything he can. He mostly pulls up to his knees, but frequently pulls to a standing position. Gavin has started the "attention getting screaming". Needless to say he LOVES attention and wants to the center of it. He is still a great eater and we are starting to try all sorts of "non-baby food". Today he had his first pancake. He also loves to eat mommy's cheerios and milk out of my bowl! There really isn't much that we've tried on him that he doesn't like. Neither Jason or I are picky eaters...so it would thrill me to have a child who isn't picky! No matter how much he loves the table food...he still LOVES the bottle. You better not let him see that bottle until you are ready to give it to him! I'll be so glad when we don't have to buy formula anymore...but kind of dread breaking him of getting a bottle. :) Gavin loves all of his toys. He loves to turns pages and push buttons. If it lights up or makes sound...he's sure to love it.  We are starting to work on teaching him "no" as he's getting curious around the house. The ideal situation for us would be to not redecorate our house simply because he's mobile now. We would rather teach him "no". We'll see how this works out. We are trying to get him to say "Da-Da". He definitely knows that is Jason.... and when we say, "Gavin, can you say Da-Da??"...he cracks up. It's really cute. :)
We are beyond blessed by this growing boy and we just can't get enough of him. He is our precious precious miracle and I still can't believe God brought him to us.
Enjoy these 9 month pictures!!!!
